Shooting diary - Day 3

Shooting diary- Day 3

This day of shooting took place in the school hall. I found this day of shooting to be very successful as we got some footage that we wanted. We took out two cameras, we did this incase there was a problem with one of the cameras like previously. This idea benefitted us as we got twice the amount of footage that we would have normally got. Using two camreas will also benefit us when it comes to editing.

Within our storyboard we stated we wanted to use a spot light as a part of our lighting. This was not possible to use an atcual spotlight. However we did manage to get around this as there was very good lighting that we created from the stage lights which was atcually a fluorescent light, this created the spotlight effect as we turned all the other lights off.The lighting on the cameras also caused a minor problem as the filtering wasnt very good. To overcome this problem we decided to set the camera at the setting 'beach'. This helped with making the colours looking rich and warm which we intended to do.

As the filming took place in the school hall we had a minor problem as the chairs and music stands had been left out from an assembly. This made it hard for us to shoot the footage without them being in the shoot, but we managed to succeed in the end.

Thursday evening we filmed an hour and a half of footage. We need to film more footage but was not able to do so. As a result of this we will filom on the friday the next day.
